FTP Task Forces
The Forest-Based Sector Technology Platform sets up dedicated task forces (TF) to deal with emerging and/or important issues within the forest-based sector. Task forces have a limited duration and report directly to FTP Project Management.
The following task forces are currently active:
FTP Pulp & Paper Industry Task Force (PPI Task Force)
Coordinator: Bernard de Galembert, CEPI, FTP Management Team
The FTP Pulp and Paper Industry Task Force was set up to support FTP in its advocacy vis a vis the European Commission and to strengthen the successful delivery of the FTP Vision 2030. The responsibilities of the PPI Task Force are to identify the industry needs for research, technological development and innovation, and to stimulate the involvement of the industry into research consortia with the aim of grabbing the opportunities created by the EU Research and Innovation funding programmes. The PPI Task Force had its first meeting in October 2014, in Brussels.
FTP Woodworking Task Force
Coordinator: Gus Verhaeghe, INNOVAWOOD, FTP Management Team
This task force was set up with the aim of identifying key performance indicators towards Vision Target 8; increasing the commitment of all stakeholders; following-up and evaluating H2020 call topics to aim for better representation from the value-chain in future calls; identifying RTD&I breakthroughs; and outlining an initiative for finding European RTD&I.
