Early Stage Researchers* from the science community as well as industry are invited to submit their application to the joint Call launched by EFPRO and CEPI for the 5th Early Stage Researchers Session on Tuesday 22 November in the framework of European Paper Week (EPW) which will take place on 22-24 November 2016 in Brussels. This unique occasion provides ten young researchers with the opportunity to showcase their research at EPW and engage with the panellists of industry representatives during the session.

The two organisations encourage the target group of post graduates from universities, PhD students and PhDs with a professional career less than eight years to submit their report on research and innovation activities covering the subjects such as innovative products, improved technologies, advanced analytics or any other topic that contributes to strengthening the position and future role of the European paper industry

Out of the ten qualified participants, three are awarded to present their work at the main stage of EPW during CEPI’s High-level Session. On top of the European Paper Week experience, the three successful participants are offered the possibility to apply for the global Blue Sky Innovation Award that will be granted every second year in the auspices of the International Council of Forest and Paper Associations (ICFPA) global CEOs’ Roundtable.

The deadline to submit applications is 15 September 2016. Please see the details of the application procedure and documents here or visit the EFPRO web page
