Strong Participation in FTP’s First Open Consultation for the Next SIRA

The FTP team warmly thanks all participants who contributed ideas and priorities during the first open consultation for the upcoming edition of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SIRA) and Vision.

Over the past weeks, the inputs received have been carefully processed, sorted, and referenced. Each suggestion is now being reviewed to determine how best it can be integrated into the future SIRA. This approach ensures that the document reflects perspectives from across Europe and the many roles represented within the forest-based sector.

The multiple-choice responses provided through the consultation form revealed that every thematic area was considered highly relevant by at least some groups. This confirms that the overall structure proposed is well aligned with sector needs and expectations.

The quality of contributions exceeded initial expectations, highlighting the strong engagement and expertise within the community. Whether participation came through a direct invitation from FTP or via sectoral networks, every input has added significant value to the process.

Future consultations will provide further opportunities to shape the SIRA and Vision, ensuring that the final document represents a shared roadmap for the sector. If you would like to be personally notified about the next consultations, please feel free to let us know by sending an email to sophie.hugon@forestplatform.org.
