NSG Austria

The forest-based sector in Austria

The National Support Group of Austria (NSG Austria) is a network of companies, associations and scientific institutions dedicated to research and innovation in the combined forestry and paper sector. It represents the interests of the sector in the research policy debate in Austria and at EU level. In this way, NSG Austria contributes to strengthening the innovation potential of Austria and Europe as a whole, by continually changing political and social framework conditions through research and development, in a sustainable and competitive manner.

The current trends and research priorities recommended by national experts in the Austrian forest-based sector are outlined in their national Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda. It provides a comprehensive overview of the advocacy work carried out by NSG Austria at European level.
