FTP creates partnerships with other European technology platforms (ETPs), European research area nets (ERA-NETs) and many other research consortia in research projects of strategic relevance to the European forest-based sector:

WoodCircus – Underpinning the vital role of the Forest-based Sector in the Circular Economy

WoodCircus increases knowledge, raises awareness and improves conditions for an uptake of resource efficient processing and recycling in wood-based value chains, fostering increased competitiveness of the European woodworking sector.

VERAM – Vision and 2050 Roadmap for European Raw Materials

VERAM was a unique research project that linked two European technology platforms (ETPs) and two European research area nets (ERA-NETS) in developing a Vision and 2050 Roadmap for European Raw Materials. The ETP Sustainable Mineral Resources (ETP SMR) coordinated this project in partnership with FTP.

PROsumer.NET

This European networking and roadmapping project brought together five European technology platforms and research organizations to address design-based consumer goods industries and related research. Coordinated by the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX).

BUILDING UP

A multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral, collaborative long-term research and innovation roadmap to overcome technological and non-technological barriers towards more energy-efficient buildings and districts.

Star-COLIBRI – Strategic Targets for 2020 – Collaboration Initiative on Biorefineries

Coordinated by FTP, in partnership with CEI-Bois, this two-year Coordination and Support Action (CSA) funded by the European Commission’s 7th Framework Programme, brought together five ETPs, research partners and representatives of civil society. It delivered a 2020 framework roadmap to facilitate industrial exploitation of research results on biorefinery concepts. This project laid the foundation for structuring the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU).
