Fresh Updates from FTP Database

Earlier this year, the FTP Database was updated with 88 call topics from the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025, most of which will close between September and November 2025. Looking ahead, the Work Programmes for 2026-2027 are expected to be officially released by the end of the year, and the relevant call topics will be added to the Database. The drafts are already available here. This provides stakeholders across the forest-based sector with a timeline to plan proposals and align research and innovation activities with European Union priorities.

In parallel, EU projects launched in 2024 are progressively being added to the Database. This growing collection provides an overview of ongoing initiatives relevant to the sector, helping to identify trends, synergies, and potential collaborations.

The FTP Database continues to serve as a central platform for information on European research and innovation related to the forest-based sector. By combining funding opportunities with insights into active projects, it guides FTP’s members (and other stakeholders in the forest-based sector) to the currently available EU funding and relevant EU projects. It also provides information about all the relevant ongoing and completed EU projects as well as all the organisations involved. The latter is a valuable lead to new partners, expertise and collaboration opportunities.
