Following the first Open Consultation held last year, the SIRA Editing Team has been working to consolidate a draft of the 4th edition of the FTP Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda. It should faithfully represent the research & innovation needs of the European forest-based sector and challenges and opportunities ahead. We have incorporated the valuable input gathered from stakeholders in the first consultation. In a world of conflict and deepening global tensions, European resilience and competitiveness have received greater emphasis than before, and new action areas and themes are being added. With the structure now in place, the second stakeholder consultation will seek input on the text.

The draft will be accessible to the professionals in the sector, researchers, citizens and policymakers alike. The launch is planned at the end of April. It will be accessible on the FTP webpage, through the FTP National Support Groups, and via the European confederations/associations that are members of FTP.
